Who Is Himanshu Bhau?
Himanshu Bhau entered the world of crime when he was just 17 years old. Even during his childhood, he had been sent to a juvenile correction home. He subsequently became known for his ability to commit crimes and evade law enforcement.
In 2023, Interpol issued a Red Corner Notice against Bhau. Several cases have been registered against him by the Delhi Police, Haryana Police and the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The cases include charges related to murder, attempted murder and extortion.
In 2022, three murders took place in Haryana within 24 hours. Bhau claimed responsibility for the killings. He also claimed responsibility for the firing outside the residence of Elvish Yadav, bringing further attention to his alleged criminal activities.
Himanshu Bhau’s Bitter Rivalry with the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang
Himanshu Bhau was associated with the Neeraj Bawana and Bambiha gangs and was considered close to their members. His gang had a fierce rivalry with the Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar gangs.
Bhau hails from Ritoli village in Rohtak, Haryana, where he was also known as Himanshu Ritoli. His alleged criminal network operated primarily in Delhi and Haryana and was linked to several serious offences.
Escape from Juvenile Correction Home
Bhau reportedly escaped from a juvenile correction home along with approximately 20 other boys. He has around 50 criminal cases registered against him in Haryana, including murder, extortion and attempted murder.
His name surfaced in connection with several high-profile incidents, including the firing outside YouTuber Elvish Yadav’s house in Gurugram, the murder at the Burger King restaurant and firing incidents targeting several gym owners to demand extortion money.
Bhau initially fled to Portugal before subsequently moving to the United States, from where he continued to run his gang in India. A Lookout Circular was issued against him in 2023.
With the FBI having arrested the fugitive gangster in the United States, attention is now turning to the process of bringing him back to India. His arrest could prove significant for investigations into the multiple criminal cases in which he is wanted by Indian law enforcement agencies.
